Our content is written and reviewed by the Emporium Capital Hills funding team — the same specialists who walk business owners through applications, lender documentation requests, and financing structures every business day. Guides explain how financing generally works and what lenders typically review. They do not promise approval, amounts, rates, or terms, because those decisions belong to the lender.

Financing agreements are long, but the provisions that matter most are predictable. Reading in a fixed order makes the review manageable.

Start with the economics

Find the amount advanced, the total repayment, the payment schedule, and every fee. Confirm that fees deducted at funding are reflected in what actually reaches your account.

Then security and guarantees

Identify collateral, UCC filings, and personal guarantees. Understand what a guarantee obligates and for how long.

Then default and remedies

Read what constitutes default and what the lender may do. Note any acceleration, confession of judgment, or automatic debit authority provisions.

Consider having an attorney review the agreement. This article is general information, not legal advice.
